Globe, Czechoslovakia, 1970s

Globe produced in Czechoslovakia in the 1970s on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Culture as a teaching aid for general and vocational schools. The map printout is from 1972.

Minimalist, simple design - a rotating ball supported on a bent metal base in black. A sphere covered with a paper map of delicate colors.

The globe is preserved in its original, very good condition with visible traces of time. The map has a few local scratches, abrasions, cavities (the biggest defects visible in the photos). One of the four rubber bands is missing from the base - it can be added or the other three can be removed. Rotary mechanism works fine. The original factory mark is preserved on the base.
